Clan Tomedelver
Clan Tomedelver is a long-standing family of dwarves dedicated to their family's tradition of tomekeeping. Members of the clan manage the great library of Aglaia, passed down through the family over generations. Others serve as bookkeepers at the Athenaeum of Ithara. The entire family is dedicated to conserving the history of Arxios and its peoples.
And yet, there is one portion of Clan Tomedelver that is more famous than any others: The sons of Alferi, better known by their company name, Drawn Dog Books.
In the prime of his life, Alferi Tomedelver decided that knowledge should not only be held in great conservatories, stored away from the world. He had a different dream, a dream of spreading knowledge all about the realm. Alferi struck out on his own, with only a cart and mule goat to his name. He began his journey by collecting history from a variety of places throughout Arxios, spending an especially long time in Dol Taedh, the valley of bardic elves. Alferi had many lovers through his journeys, but it was here that he met his only lifelong companion, a direhound by the name of Stan. Alferi took the galloping mutt on as his new driving steed and the face of his business, which he re-dubbed Drawn Dog Books.
Circling back to Alferi's many lovers, they in turn spawned many sons. When Alferi's body finally became too frail for the road, he willed his business to be equally shared by all his children... all 27 of them. The brothers now take turns driving Stan and the wagon around the realm, dealing out books and knowledge, along with special services depending on which brother you meet.
