Tower of the Akashic (A-ka-shic)
Structure
At the head of the small organization of mages is the High Magister who is the overseer for the entirety of the tower, beneath him are three Lower Magisters who act as managers for the tower. Beneath the Magisters are the individual mages who are affiiliated with the Tower of the Akashic.
Culture
What sets the Tower of the Akashic apart from the Mages of Mimir is the Akashic mages belief that their magical abilities come from a purely astral source, a location called the Akashic Source. This belief that magic comes from a singular place instead of many differing sources like Ley Lines or godly pacts is a subject of contention between Mimir and the Tower
Public Agenda
Publicly the Tower of the Akashic offer to teach and otherwise preach their philosophy about magic to any spellcaster that wishes to learn it.
History
The history of the Tower of the Akashic is not a long one, dating back only ten years. Feeling disillusioned or angry at Mimir a small group of mages that had once been a part of the floating city's ranks rebelled and left heading south to Clearwater in hopes of spreading their beliefs about magic. Over ten years the Akashic mages worked to build a foundation in the capital city in hopes that they one day could rival Mimir in prestige.
