Angmar

Angmar the Powerful was the only deity of the dwarves in ages past. He toppled the advancing army of the elven nation during Isliari's territory wars and was said to be able to push mountains with his great strength. When the wars were won and the elven and dwarven nations had peace, Angmar's great strength was not what the dwarves needed any longer. Many dwarves prayed to Angmar for things he simply could not offer, such as food or blessings on the newly established Dwarven Warrens.

This troubled Angmar and he was pulled at the seems trying to accomodate those that looked for him, under the strain of maintaining his people the great dwarf split into seven separate beings: Arnulf, Bjorn, Elmar, Helmut, Gerd, Jost, and Lothar, each containing a fragment of his divinity and personality. These beings quarrel relentlessly and work to fulfill the many needs of the dwarven people. Many dwarven scholars propose that if the seven worked together, they would have greater power than Angmar possessed alone, but it is hard enough for the seven "brothers" to sit down for a community meal, let alone work together towards a common goal.
