Timber lake

The timber lake is a small though deep body of water to the north of Ashton Creek. It is nestled among sheer cliffs with waterfalls splashing into it in the north and north-east-east. From it flows the Ashton Creek itself, and it receives water primarily from a larger reservoir further north. Although that is its modern source, it already existed prior to the construction of the dam, the waterfall to the north being used by the lumberyards to power their mills which lent it its name. Since the move away from water powered industry the mills at the lake have gone largely abandoned, although children often play there in summer without their parent's consent.
The lake houses a number of different species of fish, which makes it a popular fishing destination in the area. In addition, it is also not uncommon for the residents of Ashton Creek to go swimming in the lake,
