The headquarters of the Outsiders of the Dragonfly is an imposing structure located in the eastern region of Aspicientis, built on a large island encircled by a circular lake.
This colossal rectangular tower stretches skyward for miles, its architecture often sparking debate due to its seemingly impossible construction.
Purpose / Function
Serving as the central hub for the guild's operations, the headquarters is where members of the guild eat, sleep, train, and receive missions. It is the heart of the organization, where all major activities are coordinated.
Alterations
Although the building’s size has remained unchanged since its abrupt construction, guild members frequently report mysterious phenomena, such as rooms that appear or vanish without explanation.
Architecture
The tower looms over the landscape, its magical nature evident upon close inspection. It is constructed from rare and arcane materials, including Mythral, Golem Flesh, and other unknown substances that defy conventional understanding.
History
The headquarters was erected on the very site where the Lone Hero defeated Derukoskai, the Tyrant. The crater left by that battle was transformed into an island, isolating the tower on its own archipelago. Over the centuries, the headquarters has become a national landmark, drawing both admiration and ire. While it stands as a symbol of the guild’s influence, it has also become a target for terrorist and radical groups.
Legend and Resilience
A popular story has circulated for decades: A group of bandits opposed to the guild’s principles openly challenged the Outsiders, attempting to provoke a response. When the guild ignored their taunts, the bandits escalated, publicly declaring their intention to demolish the tower with hundreds of pounds of explosives. A massive explosion was heard from the island shortly thereafter. However, the tower emerged completely unscathed, and the bandit group was never heard from again. This tale has only added to the tower’s legendary status as an indestructible fortress.
