Appointment
A potential Knight - known a an esquire - will be recommended by their training supervisor to the Imperial Command. A dossier will be created, confirming the esquire holds all the relevant qualifications. Their profile will then be examined by the Imperial Command and they will determine if the esquire also holds the relevant inter-personal skills to hold the position.
If confirmed into the title, the person who recommended the new Knight will deliver their new insignia to them: a pin in the shape of a griffin rampant holding a sword.
Duties
Ankaran Knights act as a mix imperial guards, diplomats and generals. They are under the direct command of the Emperor of Ankara themselves and must always be ready to answer the imperial call.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Ankaran Knights receive their pin of service on the day they receive the title: a griffin rampant holding a sword. They also receive a temporary spellblade: a sword capable of directing magical power. This temporary blade will be replaced by a custom-made blade of their choice.
Their dress uniform is comprised of straight trousers and high-collared tunic in a very light gray. A wide sash of a cool medium blue drapes from left shoulder to right hip. It is kept in place by a gold epaulette at the shoulder and wraps around the wearer's hips, secured there by a gold buckle. Knee-length black boots complete the look and the white trousers are worn tucked in the boots.
