Arena Fighting

Arena Fighting is a lethal form of enclosed combat (unlike Pit Fighting), where 2 or more combatants are pitted against each other till the death until one is left standing the victor. Some cultures consider arenas to be an immoral form of entertainment, however many cultures allow it, gambling on combatants and amassing quite a public following. Arena's would have multiple variations of fights such as 1 versus 1 combat, free for all, or team combat where you and others are pitted against foul beasts.

Combatants of the arena were rarely by choice, most were prisoners, slaves, or enemy captives. Therefore, many died quickly in the initial rounds, and those who survived only did so by necessity. Its rare someone will volunteer for the arena, but it is not unheard of. Some love bloodshed enough they're willing to, however once you sign the contract, there is no turning back ...
