The High Seas of Astaroth house many clans and crews of belligerent buccaneers. Sailing and plundering has been in their blood for generation upon generation. Yet all pirates must abide by a code. And who better to keep to a code than a court. Many famed pirates over the last generations have built up their names and are known world-wide as the Pirate Lords that make up the Brethren Court on Shipwreck Isle. These Pirate Lords command respect and loyalty by any who sail under their flag. Many rule through fear, but some rule through compassion. Others garner respect through triumph, and some through treachery. Nine Pirate Lords make up the Brethren Court. The leader among them is the Grand Admiral Florence DeMeza. An aging woman she is, but kind and compassionate. But the ever-burning embers of her heart are still not to be fanned if one wishes an easy and simple life. Recently, an attempt on her life has been made and nobody is to be trusted. Reports have come back and any clues have been washed away like a leaf on the shore. Her closest advisors have enlisted the help of any local ships and captains that fly under DeMeza's flag known as the Dread Corsairs. Any clue or insight into the attempted murder of the Grand Admiral is sure to have a large cash settlement. And there are many desperate dogs looking to make a quick doubloon.
