The eldest of the Brothers Deepmaw is the Pirate Lord Scangar. Along with his brutish brothers he has terrorized the seas for quite some time. He makes his home in Sailgrave alongside them. While there, his oppression of the local populace of Kuo-toa has gone mostly unnoticed by the Brethren Court. His cruel and cold nature has them all worried for their lives. If word got out to the Grand Admiral that Scangar has enslaved an entire race, harsh judgement would fall on his head.

Physical Description

Identifying Characteristics

Scangar is actually quite a rare mutation for a Mako. Mako generally appear as giant, muscle-clad shark men whose heads resemble that of a Great White Shark. Scangar is the first Mako in nearly 100 years whose head was shaped like that of a Hammerhead. The Mako believe that these rare mutations signify who is next in line to lead the pack.

Personal history

Born in the cold, dark reaches of Sailgrave, Scangar grew up with his two brothers, Bawlgron and Gharkus. Together these three would get in to so much trouble and mischief. It wasn't until their father was captured by pirates did they ever see the light of the surface world. The light and the beauty of the natural sky astounded them. They decided to venture off from Sailgrave to rescue their father from the clutches of the pirates that had taken him away. Their father meant everything to them. He would play with them around the steam vents that lined the eastern shallows of Sailgrave, bobbing and weaving around the jets of water that kept the shallows nice and warm. Their father was a kind and loving soul, which directly contrasts the perspective of the Mako today. When eventually the brothers caught up with the men who held their father captive, they showed no remorse towards the cowering dogs. They tore them apart. Ravaged them and severed limbs from bodies. Their rage and bloodlust overtook them. In their clouded rage, they hadn't seen what had happened to their dear father. He lay motionless on the white sandy beach, unable to respond to the brothers' cries of fear and terror. Several cutlasses and rapiers were impaled into their father's tough hide. Scangar tried to rouse him to no avail. Heartbroken, they returned to Sailgrave along with the carcass of their beloved father. Scangar and his brothers were no longer the same after that fateful day. He vowed vengeance on the treacherous band of brigands that had taken his father away. Together with his brothers and any Mako who would follow him, Scangar traveled to the surface world and garnered the aid of any who would help him. Years later, Scangar would find himself at the helm of a great warship that he called the Bloodlust. Together with his brothers, they would become some of the greatest pirate hunters the world had ever seen.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Scangar and his brothers would go on to hunt the Northsea Freebooters into extinction. After a very vengeful murder of the previous Pirate Lord, Gail Northcut, Scangar was offered his seat on the Brethren Court as a new Pirate Lord.

His brothers Bawlgron and Gharkus have always been very dear to him. Like all siblings fights always arise, but they are always quick to get back on the same page.

Scangar is one of the three Brothers Deepmaw. He is the Pirate Lord in charge of leading his band, the "Deepmaw Raiders". Their savagery is unmatched and the ruthlessly cunning Scangar leads them.
