Lord Francis Drake was yet another Kul Tiran noble. His family had always had a penchant for the more glamorous things in life. It is seen firsthand if you ever step aboard his flagship, the Fortune. It is a giant vessel decorated and littered with treasures that Lord Francis has acquired throughout his many excursions around the world. It is said that Lord Francis is the only known human to be in leagues with the elusive Trade Princes of the Undermine. Trade Princes, also known as merchant princes and trade lords, are the main leaders of the goblin race. The title of Trade Prince is not necessarily equivalent to the leader of a goblin cartel. Although the Imperial Trading Company has been called a cartel, its president Lord Francis is not a trade prince.

Personal history
Francis Drake was the only child of the famous Kul Tiran "Merchant King" Lord Mortimer Drake. Growing up, Francis enjoyed the lavish assets that his father had accrued. Fascinated by what his father did for a living, Francis began accompanying his him aboard his ship that he called the Fortune. He would love travelling around the seas with his father, sailing from port to port, acquiring and delivering cargo. He felt that this was his calling. Francis spent much time garnering knowledge about the port-towns and cities and what they exported, and what they imported. After many years, his father peacefully passed in his bed at the age of 73. As per his last wishes, Mortimer wished Francis to return to Kul Tiras, obtain his lordship and sail the Fortune to his hearts' content. Lord Francis would go on to fulfill his father's last wishes.
Employment
For many long years, a young Francis Drake would be employed on his father's vessel, the Fortune. Working as a dockhand, he started building his way up the ranks. It went by much faster than in takes most people as his father was the notorious Merchant King of Kul Tiras. He had quite and unfair advantage over others and it sort of rubbed most people the wrong way.

Contacts & Relations
As the new Merchant Prince, following his father's footsteps, he has relations all around the world. Some are close friends, some are colleagues, while most tend to just be associates or business partners.
Family Ties
When things start to get messy, Lord Francis has made a very powerful ally in the Trade Princes of the Undermine. The goblin leaders and their cartels span the entire world and have contacts almost everywhere you look.
Lord Francis Drake leads the Imperial Trading Company (ITC). They seek to provide sustenance to the world in order to claim a stranglehold on the world's trade routes. Archaeology is a hobby of his.
