Banners Bust the Baddies
Day two is upon us, and boy oh boy does the festival never fail to disappoint your friends here in the papers. Wouldn't be a festival without some wrongdoing going on, it seems. Under the noses of many of the administration who were given the days off for the festivities, a sphinx was caught late last night using the empty halls and classrooms of the Bleakburn Academy as an extended source of the festivities. How did he manage to get past some of the magical protection, you ask? Is this some particularly talented student of the school? The answer to both of these questions is simply... no. Official sources were quick to point out to us his successful attempt at grabbing an arcane key from one of the building's administrators, though, the name of whom it belonged to was a detail that was kept under locks.
"Rest assured, it will not happen again..." said the captain of the guard. "A reminder that while fun is always something that everyone should have, especially in times like this, the law is the law, and we urge you to follow it..."
Yes, it seemed that this sphinx's attempt at a fun time costed him jail time instead, and, according to sources, the Bannermanes title he held onto as well.
More to add were the three short hooves taken in with him. The guard, refusing to give many more details on their detainment, simply replied their compliance in possible nefarious acts within the school were under investigation, but were otherwise to be held behind bars for the time being. Maybe next year for those four, it seems.
