The party tracks an escaped convict.


The party is asked by Auresh to investigate a group of soldiers that had not arrived at their destination. They had been transporting a trio of prisoners, a necromancer along with his two flesh golems to Dark Citadel, the United Cities' magic supermax. John Strings slept in, so they left him a note to follow.    The party did not have to travel far before they came across the slaughtered remains of the soldiers. They were set upon by some wandering giants, but were rescued by a man, Arines, and his two bodyguards who claims to know where the necromancer went.    Following Arines on a long trek through the Causter Forest, they arrived at a graveyard. In the middle of the graveyard was a sarcophagus with a slight glow to it. Arines ran up, grabbing a scepter off the sarcophagus, and cast off his cloak, revealing himself to be the necromancer they were hunting- and a Praktore, as well.    The party attempted to take him out before he could grab the scepter, but he was too powerful. Once he had the scepter, he resurrected all of the corpses out of the graveyard. A battle ensued, but the party was clearly outmatched. Luckily, John arrived with a horde of termites and the light wizard, who paved a path to the party to allow them to escape via a group teleport.
