Battle of the Plains

The first full-sized battle of The Freedom War and The Astorian Pact's first major victory within it, the Battle of the Plains was fought outside the city of Wildelyn, in what is today known as Aseria. Having recently taken the city, the Pact had just enough time to prepare their defenses before the Imperial counterattack struck. Not expecting such a strong and sizeable defense, the Empire's forces were easily routed, a lesson they would not soon forget. But this major victory bolstered the hopes of both the Pact and Astorians everywhere, causing even more followers to flock to the Pact's banner.
