The Grovekeepers

While the other four branches don't answer to (and in fact, don't really ever interact with) The Grovekeepers, this part of the Wardens is still viewed as the leadership branch of the organization, or at the very least it's core (hence the tree trunk symbolism). This is mostly because The Grovekeepers are essentially the face of the organization, interacting with the public, caring for the temples to Melora, and providing worship services in her name. Along this same vein, the High Tender of The Grovekeepers isn't technically the overall leader of The Wardens, but is often deferred to in that way, because of The Grovekeepers' role in the organization.

Structure

The High Tender of The Grovekeepers manages the temple to Melora in Theogonia, and gives basic instruction and counsel to their subordinates. However, for the most part, aside from deferring to more senior Grovekeepers in a specific area or temple, most Grovekeepers act autonomously, traveling across Astoria and tending to the wilds of nature where they are needed.

Culture

While most worshipers of Melora  who find themselves living and working among The Grovekeepers are druids, there are others who serve the Wildmother as clerics or paladins. These Grovekeepers are tasked with the defense of the temples of Melora, rather than its care and upkeep.

Public Agenda

The Grovekeepers are essentially the priesthood of Melora, though most are more druidic in inclination. These wardens tend to the temples of Melora across Astoria, offering services in her name and ensuring her flock is well cared for. Generally speaking, they can be seen wearing clothing or robes that resemble or pay homage to the different aspects of nature.
