Arthan Euralus roots out the Imperials

1037
26/2

After speaking with his Pact comrades, Euralus sets out with a small force to determine the cause of each country's problem, without the help of the three rulers. After several months of hard work, he determines that each of the problems is being caused by a small splinter group of Imperial remnants. Euralus and his followers root out the Imperials and deal with them, and return to Ristarron as heroes, once again calling the three leaders to meet.

He found that the leaders had been at each other's throats almost the entire time he was gone. The only thing they are now united on, however, is their distaste for him, as they now view Euralus as a threat to their leadership. The people of each kingdom, after hearing of Euralus' deeds, all call for him to lead them. As soon as Euralus set foot inside the meeting chamber, the three leaders call for their guards to arrest him. The guards, however, had had enough of their rulers' arrogance and pig-headedness. Instead of arresting Euralus, they clap the three leaders in irons, and pledge themselves to Euralus' service, much to his chagrin. Once it was made known that the three leaders are in custody, the calls for Euralus to take the throne intensify, but the problem remained of which kingdom he would rule. Euralus wanted none of it, and managed to stall any decisions until after he spoke to his Pact comrades. The other Pact leaders saw no fault in his being named King, having long since heard of his exploits in rooting out the Empire in the region. Their suggestion was for him to unite the three kingdoms and lead all three as one, allowing the three rulers to retain regional leadership, but swearing allegiance to Euralus. Euralus wanted no part of any of this, but saw no way out of it. He begrudgingly accepted the responsibility.
