Mirrowmere Ocean

The Mirrowmere Ocean was the largest and deepest ocean on the planet of Envis before it was drained to allow for the planet's transformation into an ecumenopolis. 
Before it was drained, it notably served as the backdrop to a dozen battles fought during the 2nd Galactical War in the Battle of Envis, with the Federation Maritime Navy deploying vast fleets of battleships and carriers across the ocean, as the Imperial Air Force of Jerace tried to establish air superiority on the planet. The Federation Armed Forces initially preferred the battle raging over water as opposed to the heavily populated cities, though as they began to lose ground, they began an urban warfare campaign that would last long enough for huge relief forces to arrive following the Battle for Anfieden.
The Ocean was considered one of the biggest obstacles to Envis becoming the 1st ecumenopolis in the galaxy. It would be incredibly expensive to completely drain the ocean, but the desire for a planetary city superseded the cost. Huge dams were built between land masses, and piece by piece the ocean was drained. The project took many years, and took hundreds of thousands of contractors to complete. By the time it was done, it was the biggest draining operation in history. Envien quickly grew into the new areas, and much of what is now Glaskar lies where the ocean used to be.
