The
Rezain Corridor, also known as the
Rezain Pass, is a small region within the
Sector of Vastea, that surrounds the planet of
Rezain. The region is known for undergoing significant solar storms, that periodically, and usually for years at a time, prevent any travel to, or from Rezain. These solar storms are well known for their fury, and despite numerous innovations in technology, no space-faring vessel has ever been able to survive it, though not for lack of trying.
The existence of these storms has created a very isolated community within Rezain, that has become far more self-reliant than most other planets in the
Galaxy of Astraesto. Such self-reliance has proved to be both a blessing and a curse, as the planet is all but immune to the horrors of long-term sieges. However, Rezain often lags behind the rest of the Galaxy, regarding technological innovation and creativity.
Rezain's allegiance to the
Federation of Anfieden and Allied Planets places the entire corridor under the control of the
Galactic Hegemon. It has long been rumoured, that the
Federation Navy uses the corridor as a secret weapons testing facility, hidden from prying eyes. Such allegations are difficult to prove, and the notoriously tight-lipped Rezainians have little to say.
