Professor A. ihminen

Professor A. ihminen

A member of the elusive race of the Eläin, Professor A. Mazen's tomb was discovered by explorers. His life's work is on the walls of the pyramid he was buried within, and has been decrypted by Suzy Klaiminora-Wae

Personal history

The early memories of Professor A. are filled with many dark spots - repressed due to the trauma contained therein, for his early life was challenging, with an oppressive air of chaos hanging over everything, the young birdman had moved amidst a traveling group of the Eläin, his birth - a 'miracle of traveling' was a taxing matter for the rest of the formation as he was another body to care for, and carry. And even as he aged amongst them and began to walk, he was quickly put into work to fill his duties, as death would be a constant companion and threat. Starving them of resources and forcing them to be efficient with every single one they had available.   Occasionally, the group would stop and take stock of the situation, speaking to the various creatures of the land, and attempting to open discourse among them in order to fulfill their task, which was of two purposes - one, to spread the influence of the Eläin, and two, to discover if there was any meaning to an old story passed within their people, that of a creatures who contained a secret bloodline that made them unlike all that existed on the mainland.   Though they would never find these creatures, the many centuries of travel would send the professor's group throughout many fields of the Lhamia continent, finally settling them down southwardly were they befriended a burgeoning force within the area - a primal fire dragon who displayed a natural ability in enhancing the dragon's jade technology that was still only in it's formative phase. With such an ally blessing them, they would settle down, and create a permanent town. Thus allowing their members to be allocated elsewhere.   For Professor A. Ihminen, this was finally an opportunity for him to interact with the jadetech that he had been fervently tinkering with, and with a supply of Dragon's jade naturally occuring in his environment, he was well suited for these development opportunities, with his name lengthening and evolving by the decade. Courteous favors of his fellows who acknowledged his great work as he created a form of machinery that was capable of swallowing dirt, and forming mountains from it. Building artificial land, and allowing them to carefully cultivate springs of water to flow from the distant underground.   His research would later take him into studying the passage of light and wind through various media, and eventually how to control it. As his fellows would perform their own duties and tasks, things which he paid little attention to beyond what satisfied him at meals, or satiated him for drinking. Outgrowing his peers in his technological intuition, his studies grew in size, until he had created a device which could refuse the might of a storm, or create it's own, with a belly like a great lung - it could manipulate the wind and control it freely.   The process of this studied evolution had required careful note taking, and had taken him hundreds of years - failed attempts and blueprints were abundant and could fill a large room with the discarded copies. But still, his determination had won him great fame, with his notes being sent off northwardly to be reconciled with the great learnings of the Eläin city under the sea.   Yet, determination, and intuition would only carry him so far, as one day, he would register an anomaly within the dragon's jade core of the massive mountain observatory that he had made, and upon closer examination, his body shivered with dread as a malevolent glow sparked within the material and started to spread throughout the entirety of the machine, resulting in him hurriedly shutting it off in a cold sweat; not often had the man feared the unknown, but for once in his life, an unshakeable terror set in.   Hurrying out, he communicated the phenomena to his fellow peers, but found a strangeness amongst them - a quiet murmur; and a strange distinction was formed, for it was almost impossible to lie from one Eläin to another, and thus the only way to truly keep a secret was to avoid mentioning it, yet such a matter - especially in a group so tightly knit as this was considred largely controversial, and the only reason to do so would be at the concern of a direct command from the Matriarch herself.   But, it was not yet time for such a messenger to have arrived to deliver such news. So it seemed highly unreasonable, yet the second in command herself would forbid any communications of the topic. Instead, more ominously, Ihminen was directed to construct two copies of a design based upon a series of blueprints that had arrived three centuries ago for a device which would read and then store the memories of those who were laid to rest inside.   Suspicious though he was, Ihminen could only comply with such a request. Losing himself in his work as he always had, yet - upon the day of completing his task, he heard something strange outside, the sounds of Eläin battle cries and violence occurring not far from the grounds of which he had finished his work. Curious, he would go to find the source of the noise, only to discover his fellow Eläin in the midst of a fraught combat with all matter of Jadetech automata. Wielding Weapons painstakingly made by the very craftsmen and women they know slew, these creatures would quickly overwhelm the various soldiers on the site.   Seeing her fellows die on her left and right, the second in command - who had assumed the role of first in command of the Eläin present here, would unleash a cry of emotional pain, before invoking a spell, one whose impact would obliterate all of the nearby machinery, as well as the corpses of her fellows and leave her collapsed upon the ground, near to lifeless, and exhausted by the backlash of what she had done.   Approaching her body, Ihminen would lift her up by the shoulder, and quickly become coated in her blood, as her eyelashes fluttered and she looked upon the scientist. Her words from then - would prove extremely audible for the memory, because everything within the memory quickly became shattered, as a shock more powerful than any other fractured the coherence of the moment, and indeed - had likely damaged what other memories were found there. The next moments that Ihminen would recall was that of stumbling into the second of the two Nexii with a blade buried in his back, and falling lifelessly against the platform.
