The Lost Treasure of Acordyx
The exact recalling of these sessions have been lost to time - but a vauge recounting of events is outlined below.
General Summary
Battle at the Whirlpool Coast
Sailing the seas was common for pirates, scoundrels, and thieves. Sometimes these groups got along, but this was not always the case. Searching for a bounty on the seas brought many crews enough coin to port for a whole month. This would certainly be for case for the bounty of Ograd Tusk. Looking to get paid by the navy as opposed to hunted by them the Gunpowder pirates lead by Conrad took the job and began scouring the southern seas for Tusk and his crew of orcs. Several months went by for the Gunpowder pirates before they found their quarry. The previous night scouts had spied Tusk's ship tucked away in a cove. The next morning erupted in explosions and fire as cannons wracked the sides of each vessel. The battle was hard fought for both, and realizing a stalemate would be the outcome of this battle, Tusk took his ship into more dangerous waters. Sailing into the deadly Whirlpool Coast. Hoping the pirates would not retreat Tusk would encounter a vessel of unknown origin emerging from a sudden mist. The ship was covered in debris and creatures from the deep sea floors and was crewed by humanoid fish creatures. This unknown vessel would prove to much for the weaken ships of Conrad and Tusk, and would destroy them both in combat as the whirlpools crushed the broken ships. The Hidden Island of Acordyx
Conrad and his crew would be lucky though, smiled upon by fate or the gods of sailors, the ship was beached upon a reef bed within sight of a tropical island. Taking the few surviving crew boats and repairing them with loose panels of the main ship, a landing party would be sent to the island including Conrad and his wife Ecstasy, their personal guard and swordsman Yami, and Urgo-gro-Urbo the ships cook who needed supplies to last longer than a week after the lost cargo during the battle. Exploring the island they would encounter locals who were quickly ambushed by giant human-spider crossbreeds! Fleeing with the locals the landing party grabbed on of their canoes and failing to exit it with the native islanders the landing party found themselves being whisked away by the strong currents to a subterranean city.Lost Pirate Stronghold and Smuggler's Port
Lost to time and reclaimed by nature the city was dark, but clear evidence told the story of a pirate stronghold and smuggling port. The only vessel left was a beautiful white ship, but before the landing party to commandeer it they were set upon by a massive beast! This creature claimed rulership of the island, its insane spider denizens and the locals. It called itself Acordyx and as it rose out of the water of the subterranean cove the landing party could see that it was an aboleth! This aboleth had enslaved the pirate populace and over generations they split into two factions. One remained human, turning into hunter-gathers and living in huts on the far side of the island. The others found a strange temple to Lolth who blessed them with thinking free from the aboleth's influence. This resulted in inanity in the Lolthite followers, making it easer to turn them into driders forced to hunt their former families, friends, and sailors. The battle was hard, and saw Yami mind controlled by Acordyx like the natives, but in the end the landing party was able to escape on the white galleon along with the treasure that remained within her holds. With the death of Acordyx the locals regained their mental faculties and decided to remain on the island, developing a culture of their own. Conrad left a box of firearms for the locals despite their wishes, a gift from friends of the sea meant to help fend their homes from the islands drider inhabitants.Rewards Granted
