Yami Munenori
History
Yami was discovered adrift in the Pirate Isles by then pirate captain Conrad and his crew. It was this that would seal Yami's fate on the Planet of Asyur. Taking up the path of swordsman, he stayed with his pirate saviors, eventually joining their ranks and quickly rising through them with the budding friendship with Conrad and other outstanding members of the crew. It wouldn't be long until Yami would command his own ship, the Red Rammer as captain.Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Yami is visibly merged with machine to any who view him. His head has metal plates, visible through bald spots that reveal them instead of skin. His right eye is replaced with a cybernetic construction, and over his left sits a reader/scouter that relays information directly to his brain, visual centers, and spinal chord. His left arm and hand is replaced with that of a robotic construction, as is his right leg.
Specialized Equipment
Smart-Link
Yami is equipped with various technology only available to it's creator, Traphenaks. Some of this technology includes a smart-link, which allows him to link his cybernetic parts to certain weapons, allowing more controlled use than ever believed possible. Such examples include being able to curve bullets and arrows by manipulating trajectory with so called smart-nanites. Celestial Katana After discovering the Sun Sword in a trial designed by Tessa in which he used it to slay a shadowy apparition of Strahd, Yami would go on to become the permanent owner of the sword, it's major goal complete - it sought to help Yami complete his. This would change however on a distant and dark world where Yami and the Sun Sword encountered the strange dark magics of the Cill'nairi. Here on this planet during battle with a powerful Witch, the sword would undergo a metamorphosis as it absorbed all the light of the dead star that once acted as life giver to this system. This change would result in the Celestial Katana, a blade bent on protecting the light of life, and defeating the darkness of death.Mental characteristics
Mental Trauma
While battling aboard the Caelestis, Yami would succumb to a fatal blow by ships captain Traphenaks. During the aftermath, Conrad picked up Yami, and threw him into a pod previously used by the crews automated Cyborg-gnoll to modify and resurrect Vaerick. This would successfully bring Yami back to life, however he would not be the same afterwards. His brain now replaced with cybernetics, he has become cold and calculating in his actions and speech. While the cybernetics he was given were advanced, it seems the pods implants were tailored to his lifestyle at death. Granting Yami with metallic skin cells, a cybernetic eye and brain, sonar ears, titanium lungs, as well as enhancing his reflexes and strength with various chemical injections during his time spent inside the pod. This all however, has caused Yami much trauma, involving personality splits and data fracturing as he gains more and more memories, loosing older ones in the process.
