The Brotherhood of Burnination
The Brotherhood of Burnination are multi-racial group that worship Trogdor as a living god. They exist to do Trogdor’s bidding, scouring the land for treasures to add to his hoard, spying on movements of Imperial troops, and sowing chaos and destruction in their wake. They hate the Hadrianic empire because the empire represents law and order, and particularly despise Krom , who they view as a false god and an affront to the almighty Trogdor.
The Brotherhood of Burinantion have no qualms about forming alliances with anyone who opposes the empire or has the potential to be a thorn in the empire’s side. They will discard these alliances as soon as they are no longer convenient, and have earned a long list of enemies in the process.
Members of the Brotherhood dress in red robes with a picture of Trogdor on the back when gathered for their rituals. They carry a small flame pendant representing Trogdor with them at all times. Trogdor has promised that his most devout followers will be able to shed their mortal bonds and be reborn as a dragon. Several candidates have been selected for apotheosis, which requires an extremely dangerous pilgrimage from the base of Mount Jabba to the depths of Trogdor’s lair. So far, no one has returned. The “Orc Lord” @Strong Bad and his minions are technically members of the Brotherhood, and are only tolerated because they have successfully infiltrated Trogdor’s lair. Most of the Brotherhood think Strong Bad is an idiot and purposely give him the most meaningless tasks or the ones most likely to get him killed.
Public Agenda
The Brotherhood believes that:
1) Trogdor is a living god and the worship of any other gods is an affront to Trogdor;
2) The land is purified through burination and ruin of Trogdor’s enemies;
3) The most devout followers will become immortal dragons;
4) Sowing chaos and destruction, as well as offering up powerful magical artifacts as tribute, are the best ways to show devotion; and
5) The Hadrianic empire represents law and order and must be destroyed.
