The Nine Fingers Gang

The Nine Fingers Gang operates in the capital city of Hadrianus, and is muscling in on The Beholders 's territory and businesses. The gang has developed a reputation for violence; a series of grisly killings in disputed territory has plagued the slums for several years.
The Nine Fingers Gang has few scruples and will get into any line of business that generates profit. They are known for operating unlicensed casinos and brothels, kidnapping free elves and selling them into slavery, and most recently, gaining a virtual monopoly on the manufacture of and distribution of illegal narcotics within the city.
All this has brought the Nine Fingers Gang into direct conflict with The Beholders, who view them as a threat to their profits and to the general stability of the black markets in Hadrianus. The two gangs are quickly moving toward open warfare.
