Camua Procreation Ritual
Not many in the Middle Realm know about the Camua, and even fewer know how they create others of their race. The ordeal is secretive and private, both because the Camua are rare and because the creation process is a highly individual effort.
Execution
This ritual involves several weeks of intense focus, during which the parent Camua casts one of the longest continuous spells to exist in the Realms. Time to sleep and eat is hard to come by during the casting of the procreation spell. It's common for the parent to lose weight, ultimately exhausting themselves physically and mentally by the time they have brought their new offspring into existence.
Components and tools
The only physical requirements for this ritual are a dark, undisturbed location and a stockpile of easily-consumed food for the parent Camua to consume during periods of time where it's safe for them to pause their spellcasting.
Participants
Observance
Most Camua partake in the ritual at least once in their lives. Almost all who perform the spell will take the time to raise their new offspring to adulthood before creating another.
