Camua Visual Arts
Unlike most of the other intelligent races, the Camua don't partake in art for art's sake. Instead, their art typically accompanies their research, serving as a secondary way to convey information rather than a form of self-expression.
History
After the Age of Balance began, the Camua gravitated toward the study and documentation of their surroundings. Visual components quickly proved to be a vital part of their research, so they began drawing and painting from life with the intent to supplement their writings.
Execution
The Camua usually depict anatomical details, botanical studies, and other similar subjects. They almost always work from reference rather than imagination.
Components and tools
Their primary preferred media are graphite and ink, which they apply with great detail and accuracy. They may also utilize watercolor paints if the coloration of their subjects is important to understand.
Participants
The observer is the most important person in the mind of the Camua artist. Whether or not the observer can gain an accurate understanding of the subject just from looking at their work is the artist's key concern.
