Birdbeak, The Albatross

Birdbeak is an Aarakocra Circle of the Good Moon Druid and a Tempest Monk under the warm embrace of Blue Wing
Born four years ago, when his egg fell out of a portal in the sky. He landed on the small island SW of The Unspoiled Forrest. He was raised from the time he hatched to harness his natural elemental powers and trained with the native Good Moon Druids.
Most importantly he was told not to trust machines, or metal. Nature is natural. he was told. Something always seemed off about that edict.
He knows absolutely nothing about his origin, beyond the moment the egg hatched. Based on his rate of growth and maturation the Druids guessed he would only live to be 30 years old. This terrified BirdBeak. Life is GOOD. Who wants to die so soon?
One year ago, he was out for a fly and saw a pirate ship. It had an unmanned Crows Nest. That looked like a good spot to him. He settled in it. he didn't ask. The pirates onboard were a superstitious lot and wouldn't go up to see him. But allowed him to use it as his home if he worked as a pair of eagle eyes. He figured he could spend the next 26 years staring at the horizon from up high, no problems. SQWAAAAAAK
Only a few days later, Captain Wiyo took command of his ship, and actually climbed up to see him. This impressed BirdBeak. He agreed to take the job of "Sky Captain" with the adventuring crew known as Moonbeam Team.
Against his better judgement, circumstances found him working FOR the Clockwork. An impetuous bird, he didn't think much about what it would mean to his Druidic circle. Again when he reached into the forge and lost his hand, it didn't cross his mind to refuse the metal fist that replaced his avian flesh. Finally after many good works, he was granted everlasting youth as a boon. The only caveat was that he would need to have his innards removed and replaced by machinery.
He accepted with no hesitation. Again with no thought about what this would mean to the people who raised him.
After an embarassing amount of time has passed, Birdbeak realizes that his new augmentations mean he would never be welcomed "home" to the Circle of the Good Moon. His pirate ship is wrecked. He has a nest on the flying island, and that's cool.... he realizes he is all alone in this world. He stops practicing the druidic arts and thinks about quitting adventuring all together. But what else will he do with his eternal youth? In a moment of unrelenting despair and loneliness he is met with the spectral embrace of Blue Wing . She recognizes him as a fierce (and lonely) aerial warrior and grants him her protection and guidance whenever he takes to the airs.
Since joining with Blue Wing, his edge and tail feathers have been slowly turning a proud shade of blue.
According to a magic Trident he found, he is "The Albatross", he doesn't know what that means.
At the end of the Clockwork War Birdbeak gifts Wave - The Trident of Power to his captain and friend, Wiyo .
