Mariner of the Makonian Navy

"Mariner" is the second lowest rank within the Makonian Navy. Mariners are Ensigns who have completed a year in duty or volunteers who join the Makonian Navy after completing the three week long Mariner course at the Makonian Naval Academy.

Requirements

Minimum age: 18
Heritage: Makonian or Shattered Coastlander

Appointment

By getting drafted into the Makonian Navy or through choosing to do the Naval Academy Mariner course.

Duties

General soldier duties, cleaning, guarding, sailing.

Responsibilities

Maintenance of ships and hardware associated with it.
Enforcing the Makonian laws.

Benefits

A reasonable salary, weapons, uniform, food and power over the general populace.

Accoutrements & Equipment

The uniform is a blue sailors clothes with a cutlass, a musket and a dagger.

Cultural Significance

It has a big toll on the Makonian people with the draft enlisting one in five citizens when they turn 18.
