Sumbes'athla
A small frontier fort and settlement just at the south edge of Cael'nae Woods, Sumbes'athla (Soom-bess-ath-la) is the only known centaur settlement outside of their venerated forest. It is here where the merfolk and the dryads with their centaur guardians first met and forged a pact of mutual cooperation and trade. The Sylvan name of the town translates to the 'Water Oath of Harmony', and the two factions have peacefully coexisted and thrived for hundreds of years. After the disappearance of the city of Atlantis many refugees that were away at the time migrated here to regroup and take account of what happened. It is also the only known entrance into Cael'nae Woods.
Demographics
The Centaur and Iroquois make up the majority of the population and consist of craftsmen, hunters and farmers. The Merfolk consist of of fishermen, tradesmen. Due to the nature of the Centaur and Iroquois outlook on for the greater good of all, the Merfolk are treated as equals and have the same social status as ones deeds merit.
Government
Overseen and guided by one of the centaur Greyseers and the Dryads, she is advised by a merfolk representative, to bring their issues and needs to her attention.
Defences
Naturally grown palisade walls surround the perimeter with a single gate on each side of the river to allow hunting parties access. 1000 centaur and 200 Iroquois guard the entrance to Cael'nae Woods and patrol the perimeter.
Industry & Trade
Sumbes'athla was founded solely for the trade agreement with the merfolk, as such the settlement is completely self sustaining. There is no material wealth such as gold and their trade system is bartering.
Infrastructure
Mostly built upon and around one of the massive ancient bridges, the settlement stretches along the river. Mostly consisting of large wooden huts and tents inhabited by centaur and Iroquois, while the merfolk have burrowed into the banks of the river, using the anti-evil stones from the ancient highway to build their homes. Like the bridge in the north it is too low for any watercraft to pass beneath and has adamantine bars preventig anything but fish from passing through.

There are several large warehouses for holding the goods the centaur and Iroquois use to trade with the merfolk.
