Clarissa grew up in a small village in the barony of Tirbeg.
As a child she was always interested in her fathers work who was a weapon and armour smith. Growing up she would always help him craft new weapons and armour and even make some entirely by herself.
Her mother was a seamstress and together the three looked like the perfect family.
As the years went by she turned into one of the best smiths the village and surrounding lands had seen, crafting masterworks that rivalled even the works of the dwarves to the north.
Eventually she decided to move to a new town somewhere in the barony of Norevin and start her own smithy. As a leaving gift, her father gave her a small amulet that he himself got from a hero, the amulet was said to contain a powerful and ancient spell that was said to have been designed by Innos himself.
Clarissa always wore the amulet but seeing how expensive it looked, decided to keep it in a lock box under the floorboards, only taking out and wearing the amulet on her birthdays.
She put a lot of passion into her work and her business was booming, people from far and wide came to buy her armour and weapons.
One day while she was out buying some new materials she met a man. That man was incredibly tall standing at a astonishing 7'.
The man struck up a conversation with Clarissa which led to her taking the day off to spend some time getting to know this man. He noticed she was busy buying some materials for her well known shop and insisted on not interrupting her but she was really intrigued by this man and simply said that she was actually free today just so she could have a chance at learning more about him.
His name was Grog Farenhik.
The two got to know each other very well and fell deeply in love.
Grog and Clarissa lived together in her smithy and even made plans to get married.
The big day happened and fittingly enough as her wedding gift to Grog, she gave him a full set of silver plated armour and a silver great sword, skilfully built with a steel core. After that, Grog decided he would learn smithing himself to help Clarissa in her shop so they could work together.
6 years later however, something happened that would change things forever.
One evening, several men covered in black hooded robes charged the smithy and beat Grog and Clarissa down.
Torturing her in front of Grog for hours.
Grog finally managed to fight himself free from the arms of the assailants and grabbed his wedding gift silver great sword; fuelled by anger and adrenaline he killed the robed men while sustaining many injuries himself.
He rushed back to his wife but it was too late, she died in his arms...
