He believes in Xardas's vision and wishes to be a powerful servant to be allowed to rule part of the world once Xardas takes control of it.

Personal history

Originally a nobleman from the mainland from the kingdom of Veby.
He took liking to going adventuring and spent years doing so when on his 40th birthday he went vampire hunting.
During the hunt he lost a few good men and as he was fighting the vampire at dawn, some of the vampire's blood got into his wounds. When the sun finally rose and killed the vampire Hector realised what had happened.
He went on a boat and travelled to the Island of Kunau to live there in secrecy. Taking over a crypt and capturing travellers and bandits to feed on. Many years went by and in the year 1004 he gained information from a band of roaming bandits that a certain wizard by the name of Xardas might have been spotted on the island. The wizard was known to be a powerful dark mage.

Hector thought about it for a moment and wanting to return to a life of luxury and rule, he decided to find Xardas. After searing and travelling for weeks, he eventually found him. Xardas ended up accepted him and Hector pledged loyalty to him, amazed by Xardas's vision and power.
