Old Tree in Esterel Timberland

An ancient pine tree which seems to be at the end of its life span. It appears to have something embedded in the centre of its trunk.
In the year 5, a one by one foot box hewn out of purple crystal containing an elven amulet was hurriedly buried here in a very shallow hole.
Over time a pine tree grew in such a way that this box would end up where it is now, embedded in its trunk about ten feet high.
Only a keen observer would notice the moss covered crystal box that's barely sticking out of the wood.
