Paladin of Innos
As part of the Paladin Order of Innos, Paladins spread the word of Innos and supports fellow believers any way they can.
They receive orders from the Council of Paladins.
These soldiers of the church wear heavy plate armour that is often enchanted with holy magic that protects the wearer from magic attacks, usually dark magic.
Paladins receive melee combat training and get taught either healing magic or magic that focuses on destroying undead and demonic creatures, depending on which chapter they join.
Only devout followers of Innos may become paladins.
A paladin is seen as authority and it is part of their obligations as a paladin to uphold the laws of the land.
They are higher than the town guard and only Lords and higher can give orders to these people.
A paladin abusing their privileges will have complaints written about them which the paladin council will receive.
If these complaints are frequent or bad enough the paladin can receive written warnings or receive a summons to explain themselves to the council. A paladin that is outcast from the church or leave of their own accord will be exiled and classed as an outlaw and must live in the wilderness. One may choose to become a travelling Paladin and work for themselves but one forfeits the salary one would normally receive as a Paladin. A Paladin in training is often called a Knight of Innos.
