Siren

Sirens are very similar to Mermaids and often get mistaken as them.   A Siren is an intelligent aquatic creature that lives in saltwater. They possess the head and upper body of a human and the tail of a fish.   They often hunt for sailors using their beauty and singing to lure them on a course that would have their ships run onto rocks or reefs. After which the sirens then use a sort of charming ability which according to reports is also a form of song, to make the sailors docile and jump in the water or simply stay on the ship which the sirens then can board with ease.
