The Merchant Guild

The Merchant Guild is a merchant guild that is spread out through most of the human kingdoms. It is well respected in most places. It also has a subsidiary guild in the dwarven kingdom of Svimalin called Haendler Baraz.   Being part of this guild has many benefits. You are allowed to sew the emblem of the guild onto your clothes which signifies that you are a trustworthy merchant and member of the guild. The guild has a several guild houses throughout the human kingdoms, these guild houses act as temporary warehouses, sleeping quarters and information centres for its members.     Its symbol is a golden wheel on a purple background with the letters MG in red.     It has several bylaws that its members must adhere to:  
  1. Fair Trade Practices: Members must conduct their business dealings in a fair and honest manner, avoiding any practices that would harm the reputation of the guild or its members.
  2. Quality Control: Members must maintain high standards of quality in the products and services they provide, ensuring that all goods sold are of good quality and fit for their intended purpose.
  3. Pricing Regulations: Members must agree to sell their goods at a fair and reasonable price, avoiding any practices that could be considered price gouging or otherwise unethical.
  4. Membership Dues: Members must pay annual dues of 4% of their annual profits to the guild in order to support its operations and finance its activities.
  5. Training and Education: Members must attend regular training and education sessions to improve their skills and knowledge, and to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  6. Business Conduct: Members must adhere to strict ethical and legal standards in their business dealings, avoiding any actions that could harm the reputation of the guild or its members.
  7. Conflict Resolution: In the event of a dispute between members, the guild may provide a forum for resolving the issue and enforcing any agreements or settlements that are reached.
  8. Access to Markets: Members may have exclusive access to certain markets or customers, in order to protect their businesses and ensure fair competition within the guild.
  9. Sanctions for Violations: Members who violate the guild's bylaws may face sanctions, including fines, suspension, or expulsion from the guild.
