Cleargrave

During the Age of Arcaneum, Cleargrave was a sky city known as the City of Zephrys run by a magocracy known as the Kyū-níu. The City of Zephrys with its towering spires, grandiose libraries, and labyrinthine catacombs was the epitome of an arcane wonder the other sky cities in the arcane empire strove to achieve. All manner of arcane wonders, tomes, scrolls, and potions could be found and obtained throughout the sprawling metropolis' workshops.
Following a catastrophic arcane ritual conducted by a sect of ancient mages resulted in the city falling from the sky to land in a massive lake in the northern part of the continent of Angimarr. This Arcane ritual not only caused the city to fall, killing thousands within the city, it also plunged the city and the surrounding area into an eternal blizzard. The frozen ruins of Zephyr are located deep in the northwest portion of The Great Unknown on an island with the frozen lake known as the Winter's Eye. In the millennia since the Age of Arcaneum the name and history of Zephrys have been lost to time. The discovery of the ruins after The Fall of Shards has led to the city being referred to as Cleargrave due in part to the massive amounts of ice, snow, and deadly creatures.
