The Library of Knowledge
The Library of Knowledge is the famous library in Ilrny - EN´s capital Ilvoy. The library is called The Library of Knowledge because it knows almost anything you want to know. Do you want to read about legends, myths or maybe how blacksmiths can melt metal, or you maybe want to know more about laws, herbs, or languages? They don´t only know their own histories and cultures, and their books and scrolls are in different languages, not the elven ones.
The Book Guardians have their hidden pathways throughout the library and a direct portal to it. The library is a very old building. One of the clans build it when they were the royal family. But history can never decide on which one it was. Over the years they have collected knowledge after knowledge. Written down books and scrolls and kept them in The Library of Knowledge, where they would be safe.
Not many people know why the building is built entirely out of stone instead of traditional wood. It is because the stone is protected by old rune magic. And that magic makes it so that the building is hard to destroy and fire prof. The rune's magic also makes it hard for people to steal stuff and take things without permission. Unless the library knows that information belongs to them.
The library isn’t called The Library of Knowledge because of all the books, information, and knowledge it keeps within it. No, it is called The Library of Knowledge because it knows every person who walks into it. It knows if some information is theirs to take without permission and if someone is trying to steal anything. It knows what kind of information you are looking for and even if you don´t know it the library will guide you to it. Even if you don´t know that’s what you were looking for. The only people who know this isn’t a myth are the Book Guardians. The library only lets the Book Guardians it trusts enter through the direct portal into it.
But for an average person who is not a Book Guardian the library is known for its knowledge and that they always somehow find what they were looking for in that big stone building, among the hundreds of stone shelves, statues, ladders, stairs and the five floors.
