Metaphysical / Paranormal event
After dining with the royal family of the house of Do'urden, Drixxen brought the party to a room to reveal to them that the silvered item they collected from the Mind Flayer was in fact a seeing bowl, a divination tool which could allow one to see a fragment of the past, present or future.
With the help of his father, Drixxen Do'urden guided the party in using the item, which presented each of them a vision. To Belbo, the bowl granted a vision of Icarus Greyforth with a necklace of bled, white crystals, mulling over maps at his desk. A water genasi figure, cloaked in shadows informed him of Mordain the Fleshweaver's recovery, and preparations for a march onto the city of Wellspring was going to plan. They had summoned all cult forces in 10 weeks travel of their location, in preparation to attack on the eve of the Autumn Equinox. To Course, the bowl granted a vision of a stone cell block far above the canopy of a large, wilting forest. Compelled to touch a jagged, broken crown atop a shattered glass pedestal, Course was granted a further vision of vast battlefields, raging fires and skeletal armies clashing with knights and paladins. He noticed a familiarly described cloaked and hunched male, cutting through knights with 7 large, cloaked figures behind him. To Pebble, the bowl granted a vision of a familiar prairie valley, banners, carts and circus tents dotted around the landscape. He also saw a young, dark sinned, beautiful woman, a red cracked crystal dangling from her neck, murdered in the night by a figure with a jet black sword. His vision fell to black and he lay on a cold sandy wasteland, looking up at a cloaked, skeletal figure. Pebble fought the figure, but failed, felled by a cut from his brutal sword. To Khori, the bowl granted a vision of a magical place, strong with arcane positive energy, a large infinite woodland under twilight sky, with a hanging wooden city far above her head, lit by candles and magic. The place felt familiar, despite being so strange. To Maliss, the bowl granted a vision of a skeletal army marching through the marshes and forests of Rieyama. Yuan-ti soldiers attacked the troop, cutting down the skeletal warriors. To Saradac, the bowl granted a vision of the prison his mentor is held captive upon. He also was given a vision of the baron of the town he was driven out of, and a figure beside him, talking, with a ring on one finger with the symbol of the cult the party are hunting.
