Lord Anton De La Vére is the current head of the De La Vére family, and a Baron of Holdenglade. Being a vampire and a recluse, he makes sure to keep away from general business in the city, especially during the day, in constant fear of being found out for who he truly is. The De La Vére family spans generations dating back to their last known ancestor Dragic De La Vére, a member of an ancient society of vampires that were hunted down in Qaruno over 1,000 years ago. Much like his ancestors, Anton maintains a level head under times of stress and makes sure that those who cross him know the consequences - a reason to why he has survived as long as he has. Yet due to spending his entire life in hiding, a habitual tendency to lie has crept upon him; going as far as deceiving those he cares about just to maintain his pride. A few days ago, Anton's daughter Zelèna De La Vére was taken from him by the Brothers of Vess, leaving him completely distraught in spite of his usual nature. In an attempt to save his daughter, he quickly hired the Masters of the Nine Elements to bring her back to him unharmed.
