Inseparable from birth, Shadar-kai brothers Murdoch Vane and Skeen Vane are the co-founders and leaders of the infamous Thieves' Guild Da'ernam Grye that operates within the black network of Sota. Murdoch, the elder of the two, is described as the mastermind behind the operation; a man of many facets never quite satisfied with the richest he's acquired. He looks to be in his early thirties, and 5'9 with purple eyes and hair. In recent years, his obsession with gold and minerals has led him to surgically infuse himself with gems, desperate to keep himself close to his fortune. Skeen on the other hand is the troublemaker - a master assassin and thief that is at the same time completely and utterly deranged. He obsesses over death and killing, and has to be kept on a tight leash by his older brother to stop him immediately murdering Mayoress Blythe. Skeen looks to be in his late twenties, and towers over his brother at 6'3 with short cropped white hair and a spiked wheel piercing on either side of his mouth.
