Scry Tony
The Fallen King
Scry Tony (otherwise known as Chieftain Toniverus the Wise) was the father of Sly Tony and King of Dereg'mal up until his death in 526 AXR. Living to be one of Dereg'mal's longest reigning leaders, Scry Tony used his vast intellect and gifts of the ancient bloodline to lead his tribes wisely; only resorting to conflict when necessary and growing the society the Deregh had built for themselves to be more powerful than ever before, with the ultimate goal of leading his people to the final Achuak'arux (meaning 'Green Valley' in Draconic - the Deregh Kobolds' version of the afterlife). Throughout his longevity, Scry was described only as a benign soul who always put the needs of his people above all else. He also became spiritually connected to his Draconic ancestors in the later years of his life, which allowed him to channel his magic into more powerful bursts, reserved for when the tribes needed them the most. This brought on visions, all of them eventually foreshadowing the uprising of the Meverith Gnomes against the Kobolds of Dereg'mal in a legendary battle known as 'The Fall of Ragre Sutt', in which Scry Tony would sacrifice himself to save his only heir Sly Tony, in hope that one day, he could reunite the shattered tribes of Dereg'mal and restore peace to the Silver Valleys.
