Session 1: Odyssey's Dawn Report

General Summary

Averel makes his way across The Forgotten Wealds after escaping Terren meanwhile Rostliem seeks refuge in the dingy home of Rio Tarrenbaz. Rhogar signs the Solar Oath, becoming the newest member of The Legion of the Nine Suns and sets out for Ayerith, in search of Imperial Scouts. Sly Tony gets rejected from The Royal Society of Augury due to his distinct lack of magic and Kairon decides to leave home once and for all in search of a cure for his dying mother. They all eventually meet at the centre of Ayerith after Tony tries to convince Averel that all of his wine is poisoned and Kairon chaperones an incredibly drunk Rostliem. Langfernon Achristi, full of himself as usual, brings the party together to kill a baby Griffon, helplessly tied up. And when its mother answers its cries, Langfernon flees and the party is left to clean up his mess. After making their way back to town, Rio tells them of his work that he gets from some of his clients and so whilst Rhogar leaves to fix a feud between mother and son, the rest of the party delivers supplies to the nearby dwarven mining village of Deggerston. Upon their arrival back, Rostliem tells them of one final quest of Rio's. And so they all travel to the overlook to meet Yulia Sedan, a distressed mother who's son recently disappeared. After learning of her son's disappearance, Rostliem assumes the form of a rat and eventually finds a tunnel leading down to a crypt underneath Ayerith's graveyard. There he discovers the truth of Elric Sedan becoming Ayerith's Rat King and immediately escapes to inform the others, who proceed to laugh at Elric's curse. With a new objective, to bring the Wererat to safety, the party prepares for the Great Rat Heist.
