Perhaps you've been chosen by some greater force to be a channel into the world, had the veils of the mind ripped away by some lingering enchantment, or you've studied ancient secrets in pursuit of this power. Among religious circles you may be hailed as an oracular prophet, condemned as a heretic or harbinger of doom, or ignored as a raving lunatic. You might serve at a temple, be an advisor to a king, or merely be a traveling soothsayer.
This is a trait that many charlatans and con artists emulate and will go far out of their way to make others believe they have. Perhaps you find it a burden you would willingly pass on to them. Regardless of the source or nature, you see things others don't and it has shaped your life.

Starting Equipment: Your favored fortune-telling focus (a crystal ball, tea leaves, oracle bones, tarot cards), a small journal and ink pen, incense, 5 small prayer candles, a stick of chalk of any color, a set of common clothes, and a small silk purse with 10 gp.

Feature: Visions From Beyond
You have seen or sporadically receive visions of the past or future. The nature of these visions can vary. They could be clear or cloudy, appearing in dreams, right before danger, or at random. Perhaps they foreshadow a singular event, or they might not be connected at all. Use the visions table above and work with the DM to figure out the content and frequency of these visions.
Some seers may attempt to summon visions purposefully. If you and your DM conclude that your character has this power, you can attempt to give a target's fortune or prophesize something with a Wisdom (Insight) check. The DM will determine the DC and the nature of the vision depending on how well you know the target of your prediction and how far you are trying to see. You can do this once per long rest, and you must use your fortune-telling focus.
Suggested Characteristics
Some seers are quiet and studious, while some are flamboyant and wild, feeling the spark of the universe inside them. Is your character fascinated by their powers or do they shun them? How did their friends and family react to their abilities?
