King Aydin Revia
King Aydin Revia was born under controversial circumstances. His mother was Elirona, crown princess and heir to the throne of the country of Haliai. His father was Sovrekin, the high-born elven Doyen of Law in the King's Council. He was also the leader of a group of extremists focused on keeping the royal bloodline pure. His mother became pregnant by Sovrekin after she had been kidnapped and held hostage for several months. Aydin was a surprisingly boisterous child. From a young age, he took an interest in swordplay and horse riding. The only thing sharper than his blade was his tongue. He would get into trouble for debating with his tutors and would occasionally get into fights with other children in the court. Especially when it came to the question of his sire. This fighting spirit became much more controlled as he got older. He became a master of words and wit. The knowledge of the law and its implications came naturally to him. But his true love was a study of the stars. He found the study of them almost magical. Finding beauty in observing how the planets moved in perfect balance. He loved hearing the stories and legends from his mother of the constellations and he could often be found in one of the tallest watch towers, late at night with a spyglass.
He was 24 years old during the invasion that would later be known as the Battle of the Azure Veil. His grandfather and mother were both killed during the battle and after some controversy regarding his blood status, and the fact that elves don't come of age until they are 100 years of age, he was crowned king. He has been ruling Haliai for 50 years.
