The son and original heir of Fire Lord Izumi. His lack of children and devotion to the cause of Republic City cause General Iroh to abdicate his role as Crown Prince to his sister, Illah.
Iroh lived the remainder of his life in Republic City with his husband, Hiroshi. Though Illah visited him often, Iroh never returned to the Fire Nation due to the fear that his presence could disrupt his sister's reign. Iroh would die in Republic City after many years of public service, both military and later diplomatic.
