Kaniggach (Can-ih-gack)

Kaniggach is a wandering trade city built on the underside of a large Pyarlii’s body by the Karzi Lurkerss. It roams the galaxy, trading and doing business with any who are willing to oblige the inhabitants.

Demographics

The population of Kaniggach is mostly Karzi, but many Saurians, Walren, Kadar, Sibrians, Atalantis, Polas and others also reside there.

Government

The laws and restrictions of the Karzi government apply to Kaniggach even when it travels through other empires’ territory.

Defences

In addition to the extras shielding and surgically implanted armor to the brain stem of the Pyarlii, Kaniggach also has a few dozen mounted turrets to defend from incoming space borne threats such as pirates or the like. It also posses a local security force of around 10,000 men to keep the peace and keep negotiations civil.

Industry & Trade

The city travels through the galaxy, mostly following the path chosen by it’s host Pyarlii, but it’s path is sometimes influenced through electrical stimulation to the brain stem to stay closer to inhabited areas of space where trade is more readily available. In addition to good: brought externally to trade in the city, mining guilds also extract minerals to sell from the local area when such options are available.

Districts

The central brain stem is surrounded by an armored layer of metal to protect the host creature, then the local government and military/security buildings are built in and around that area. Dock districts are scattered throughout the city, all surrounded by the ever-present trade districts. Casino/pleasure type districts are also not uncommon, but even there trade still regularly occurs. Lastly, slums have begun to form on the outskirts of the city, filled with those how came to Kaniggach in search of trade, adventure, or fortune but being met only with destitution.

Architecture

The whole city is built to flex with the slow undulations of the creature it is built upon, hinges and joints built periodically into the streets and larger buildings and the structures themselves suspended above hydraulics.
