Lawson

"Lawson was the first settlement constructed after the settlement of Hestmire. It marked the beginning of the aggressive colonization westward by the Westrel Empire. The same expansion which would soon lead to the Kruu-Westrel wars. It has since been upgraded from its pioneer days to a cathedral-like keep-city since then, becoming a symbol of Westrel strength and entrenchment in this land. Constructed mostly of whitestone that is built directly on the edge of a west facing cliff, purposefully pointed away from the ocean and to their future. It is untraditional Westrel architecture, as they were always fond of more temporary styles suitable for a mostly nomadic people. It's tall and regal, well maintained, with proud symbolic Marines at attention everywhere. The Titanium occupiers haven't stopped those military traditions nor the celebration of Westrel victories. Indeed, they've added several Titanium battle stories of honourable skirmished between Marines and Titanium Dwarves, thereby harmonizing the two cultures in bloodshed." - from the journal of Old Jass
