Minotaur

Basic Information

Anatomy

Minotaur are large bipedal humanoid bulls, though their feet end in hoofs similar to Centaur and Satyr. They are strong enough to trample others and push them back or even impale them with their sharp horns, serving as capable weapons in battle. Additionally, their stature and appearance makes it easier for them to intimidate or persuade others.

Civilization and Culture

History

The Minotaur were the counterpart to the Orcs of Alus. The two were constant rivals when the Orcs would raid their lands in the mountains or the plains. It was not until the Grumin Orcs split away from their Lumin counterparts before that relationship changed. As different groups and kingdoms rose and fell to build a Orc kingdom, some Minotaur were drawn to their side to fight on their behalf and gain glory in combat. The ones who didn't were pushed out into either Nomi, Drakon, Jovun, or Zi'rel lands where they would clash against the people who reside there.

They received a true test of their might in the war against the Elders as even while they fell time and time again, many Minotaur tribes relished the fight. That was why it disappointed them that the Eternals were the ones to finish off their forces and rob the Minotaur of a glorious victory. Now they continue to wander, searching for a good fight to test themselves in. As Minotaur from Orelia along with Leonin arrive on the shores of Alus, Alusian Minotaurs relish the chance to fight for or against the Brandovian and Haiakage Empires.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Orcs and Minotaur have often feuded over territory in both Northwest and Centraleast Alus for centuries. Even as the empire of Virush came to be, there are tribes that fight against them even as other Minotaurs flock to their cause. Most of the world sees Minotaur as capable mercenaries at best or a nuisance at worst.
