The Red-Eyed Man
The Red-Eyed Man would be better described as a demon in a man's flesh. He fights and kills wherever a battle can found or wherever he can find someone who wishes to challenge him. Why? No one truly knows. But both the tribes of Risir and the Empire of Sgand know that if they wish to take the north, he must be dealt with. But no matter what they've done, he keeps going. He keeps killing. What does this warrior seek? What will it take for his goal to be met? And how many must die before he finally stops, whether he wants to stop or not.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
The Red-Eyed Man appears to be a human man in his mid 20s, of a lean build. While thought to be an Eternal at first, he is clearly a human as he still bleeds and takes time to heal. Supposedly, his red eye is magical as there are claims that it is actually blue but only turns red in battle.
Identifying Characteristics
He has a noticeable diagonal scar that goes across the blood eye down to his left cheek. His red eye, or the blood eye, is another noticable mark on his face. For those who got close but didn't die, he apparently also has freckles on his face going across the bridge of his noise.
Special abilities
The Red-Eyed Man has the ability to shift his weapons into different types of blades, favoring the longsword and bastard sword varieties. Additionally, he appears to be able to teleport to his swords and uses the broken pieces of his second longsword to teleport between them at a fast rate. The broken longsword can rebuild itself on command and he can even summon the swords back to him should he be separated: a fact many warriors found out too late.
Apparel & Accessories
He appears to wear three black earrings on both lower lobes of his ear as well as black ear cuffs on both ears as well.
Specialized Equipment
He wears black brigandine armor with a blue cloak across his shoulders that has been soaked in the blood of his enemies. A black jerkin seems to be under his armor as well with the collar resting on top of his armor. Additionally, a black mask covers the lower half of his face from his chin up to the top of his nose. He carries two blades: a steel longsword with a black hilt and another steel longsword with cracks running along the blade.

Personal history
The Red-Eyed Man first appeared on the Howling Coast in the 1240s and immediately made an impression during a battle between Sgand and Lunari warriors. When he arrived, it is said a woman cloaked in red brought him there and pointed at the battlefield. Without a single word, he charged forward and slaughtered both sides, bathing the coast in the blood of Giant and Lunari alike. Survivors of the battle recall how no matter how injured he was, he kept moving. And that has been his M.O. everytime he arrived on a battlefield. With Sgand pushing harder to take the Howling Coast, he has been facing giants more and more but the tribes know that he is as much a threat to them as the Giants.
At least, that was the case until the Hour of the Wolves in spring of 1242. The Red-Eyed Man was convinced to aid the tribes of the Risir against Azdon the Wolf Breaker and his forces. On the morning of the 5th of Lightrise, 1242, Azdon and his forces attacked Garar's capital of Diratil. While Azdon and his personal guard were struck down by a group of adventurers, the Red-Eyed Man faced down dozens of giants alongside the Lunari and Risir tribesman he terrified and fought in the past year. Stories differ on what happened to him. Some say he died and was buried by the Red-Cloaked Woman who was at his side in his death, pledged to honor his memory by going the good he did in his last months. Others say he survived the battle and cut ties with her, traveling the land once more to continue his good. His blade arm strong still but his other hand outstretched for peace at first.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
The man seems like a demon, wanting only to fight and kill anyone who chooses to attack him. Which is a peculiar point since his first instance of battle happened because he attacked the armies first. The only time he calms is when there are no more warriors to fight or when the woman in the red cloak approaches him and takes him away. Perhaps she is tied into whatever he seeks.
Hygiene
Due to the fact he fights against people for days on end, he is often coated in blood and chunks of body parts can be found in his hair, also matted with the blood of his enemies. However, he seems to wash himself every once in a while as he disappears for a short time and comes back, cleaned and ready for more carnage.
Social
Contacts & Relations
- The Red-Cloaked Woman: No one knows the idenities of these two but they are clearly connected since the man is only ever seen alone in battle or with her by his side. And she appears to be even more powerful than he, shedding her cloak to reveal armor and weapons that she uses to slaughter people alongside him. There are rumors that she might be an Eternal but what goal she seeks is unknown. What is known is that she clearly cares for him as she takes attacks that would fell him for a short while and he goes on a rampage when she suffers any injury.
Speech
The few times he's spoken, the accent he's given has hinted that he is from the Aerin Valley. Where exactly is unknown since there aren't many Aerin people in the Howling Coast to study it further. Even fewer willing to get close to him to find out.
