Baralian Dancing Dress

West

Western Baralian Dancing Dress

Color
White with blue trimmings and gold embellishments.
Symbolism
The blue trimmings represent the ocean which borders the West of Baralj. The gold embroidery that crisscrosses the blue symbolizes crossing paths with others to trade wealth and knowledge.
Material
High-end dresses are made completely out of silk. Low-end dresses may use linen for the headdress, overcoat, or pants.
Use
The dancing dress is worn for most ceremonies and festivals except for those with a specific form of dress. Children will usually be bought or made a linen dress as they grow, with dresses being handed down in the family as children grow out of them.

East

Eastern Baralian Dancing Dress

Color
Vivid earthy reds, browns, and yellows. Gold embellishments.
Symbolism
The stripes on the overcoat symbolize large expanses of open fields and farmland, characteristic to the steppes of the East.
Material
Most dresses are made entirely of linen. Wealthier families may be able to afford a headdress and undercoat made of silk.
Use
The dancing dress is usually saved for more important events. Children generally do not get a dress until they are fully grown unless there is one being passed down in the family. If they do get a dress when they are young it is made of linen, and they will get a dress made with silk when they are fully grown.

The Baralian dancing dress is an important piece of Baralj's culture. Worn for most ceremonies, it is most often recognized by foreigners for its presence in Baralian silk dances. Due to cultural and environmental differences between the East and West of Baralj, there exist two distinct versions of the dress.

A well written article, though I'll PM you some Formatting fixes that might make things flow better.   Overall, great and I loved the use of images to show the two different outfit styles!
