Pells

Pells are a fiat money introduced by the Baralj government in 127 S.D. during it's period of rapid expansion. They are small coins made of inexpensive metal alloys. Pells are the world's primary reserve currency due to it's frequent use in international transactions. The Pell does not have a fractional denomination.

Appearance

The appearance of the coin is determined by it's denomination. Small denominations including 1, 5, and 10 Pells are shaped like a rounded triangle. Medium denomination including 20, 50, and 100 Pells have the shape of a rounded square. Large denominations of 500 and 1,000 Pells are round, scalloped coins.   The small and medium denominations can be further identified by their metal and color. The smallest denomination of each is made of CuNi 70/30, the middle of CuNi 90/10, and the largest of ERCuSi-A. Scalloped coins are made of ERCuAl-A1 and are stamped with the image of a flower with the higher 1,000 denomination having a more intricate design.   The coins have a small hole in the center allowing them to be carried in a coin purse or on rope. Coins are usually threaded onto rope when dealing with large quantities or when the price has been determined beforehand. This allows the amounts to be easily managed and transferred.
