Vorkas Smallsteed was a Gnomish explorer from the first age. Over the course of his many excursions, Vorkas discovered a number of species of plants and animals all over Avondale but his greatest achievements came out of a successful expedition through the jungles of Baela, which are well known to be wild and thriving with self preservation magics flowing from the Fey Wild.
